Predicting Amyloid Pathology in Mild Cognitive Impairment Using Radiomics Analysis of Magnetic Resonance Imaging

چکیده
Background: Noninvasive identification of amyloid-? (A?) is important for better clinical management mild cognitive impairment (MCI) patients. Objective: To investigate whether radiomics features in the hippocampus MCI improve prediction cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) A?42 status when integrated with profiles. Methods: A total 407 subjects from Alzheimer’s Disease Neuroimaging Initiative were allocated to training (n = 324) and test 83) sets. Radiomics 214) bilateral extracted magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). cut-off <192 pg/mL was applied define CSF status. After feature selection, random forest subsampling methods utilized develop three models which predict A?42: 1) a model; 2) model based on profiles; 3) combined The performances thereof validated set. using volume also developed validated. Results: best-performing showed an area under curve (AUC) 0.674 AUC 0.758 0.823 hippocampal lower performance, 0.543 Conclusion: MRI can help patients potentially triage invasive costly A? tests.

متن کاملDiagnosis of amyloid-positive mild cognitive impairment using structural magnetic resonance imaging: The worth of multiple regions of interest
Objective: Briefly to compare twin and multiple regions of interest (ROIs) in structural magnetic resonance images (sMRI), testing two statistical parametric mapping (SPM) packages against amyloid status in patients diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment (MCI), who underwent positron emission tomography with Pittsburg compound B (PiB-PET). The packages were Voxel-based specific regional analy...
متن کاملRadiomics modelling of IMRT induced acute rectal toxicity using clinical and magnetic resonance imaging features
Introduction: Rectal toxicity is a dose limiting issue in prostate cancer radiotherapy. Prediction of these effects may be used to tailor the therapy. The purpose of this work was to develop predictive radiomic models based on clinical, dosimetric and radiomic features extracted from rectal wall magnetic resonance image (MRI). Materials and Methods: This st...
متن کاملusing functional magnetic resonance imaging to differentiate between healthy aging subjects, mild cognitive impairment, and alzheimer’s patients
background: alzheimer's disease is the most common form of dementia which is still difficult to be differentiated from other types of brain disorders. moreover, mild cognitive impairment refers to the presence of cognitive impairments that is not severe enough to meet the criteria of alzheimer's, and its diagnosis in early stages is so critical. there is currently no distinct method available f...
